Key differences from journal citations

  • Magazines do not use volume/issue numbers in MLA citations
  • The full date (day, month, year) is preferred over just the year
  • Page numbers use “pp.” for a range or “p.” for a single page

In-text citation

(Kolbert 58) — author + page number

For online articles with no page numbers: (Thompson)
